ZF and Wolfspeed to establish R&D center in Germany
2023-06-02
ZF and Wolfspeed will set up a research and development center in Germany to provide advanced silicon carbide semiconductor technology. The cooperation between the two parties aims to build factories and R&D centers into an important basis for a new European silicon carbide technology network.
The collaboration will cover the entire value chain from modules to complete systems, developing breakthrough innovations for SiC systems, products and applications, thereby significantly reducing time-to-market. Whether it is passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles, industrial vehicles, or the industrial and renewable energy markets, the joint research and development center is designed to meet the needs of all mobility sectors. This cooperation will also promote the development of related technologies, such as the pursuit of higher efficiency, higher power density and better performance of various electrification solutions.
