Correct use of WABCO handbrake system

Reasonable use of this technology is crucial for correct driving, and WABCO regularly provides on-site information on vehicle safety issues to users. WABCO has provided some correct methods for using hand brake valves to provide safety assurance for your fleet:

1. When parking or attempting to start on a hill, be sure to lock the handbrake in the locked position. If the handle is not properly locked in the parking position, it may cause the parking brake to be accidentally released.
 
2. Ensure that the handbrake valve is correctly locked in the fully locked position. If the handbrake valve does not reach the fully locked position, it cannot be guaranteed that the vehicle will be locked correctly.
 
3. Improper use of handbrake can cause excessive wear or fracture of components, which over time reduces the effectiveness of the handbrake. This type of improper operation includes not lifting the handle along the axial direction or not fully lifting it, or applying excessive force when operating the handle.
 
4. Once the user discovers any abnormalities in the parking lock function (such as poor operation, increased friction, large play, etc.), we strongly recommend replacing the handbrake valve immediately.
